Friends, feminists and crafters, lend us your ears! Always wanted to try embroidery but don’t know where to start? Come learn embroidery with Niamh from Wimperis Embroidery.

Niamh been an embroidery artist for over 5 years, champion embroidery as a calming act of self care and she has most recently been seen on the BBC2 program The Victorian House Of Arts and Crafts.

In this Feminist Embroidery Workshop Niamh will teach you 5 key stitches that can be used in lots of different ways. She has designed 3 new patterns for you to choose from, “feminist”, “grow”, and “shine”. You’ll be stitching on 100% cotton using DMC embroidery threads. Pick your pattern and your thread colours and Niamh help with the rest. This is a 2 hour workshop, and you’ll get to keep your work, including your own 4” Elbese embroidery hoop (a small company who make world renowned embroidery hoops, they’re actually based in the village that Niamh’s grandparents live!).

This is an all gender, all age, all ability workshop, so please, come along and discover how brilliant embroidery is! Find her work at Wimperis.co.uk or on Instagram @WimperisEmbroidery
