Join Lento of London for a memorable afternoon learning the basics of wine tasting and the art of pairing wine with food. “We’re not wine snobs at Lento of London so expect a relaxed, approachable session”

Luca from http://www.lentooflondon.co.uk will talk you through their range of artisan Italian wine providing tips on how to taste wine and what to look for when pairing wine with food whilst you drink the samples and get creative to find your favourite wine/cheese pairing.

There will be six wines on tasting from across Italy as well as six cheeses to enjoy.

You’ll get an detailed introduction into the world of terrariums before you are given tools and components to create your very own terrarium. Houng will guide you with step by step instructions followed by tips and tricks on how to look after your latest creation.

Learn how to knit a blanket from amazing giant wool with Emily – founder of The Chap and Darling Knit Shop!

You’ll be working with Woolly Mahoosive’s Mahoosive acrylic yarn, so big you use your arms as needles! 2kgs of yarn is included in the price of the workshop, which should give you a blanket 75 x 125cm (or you can make a thinner double bed runner) and you’ll be finished in the time it takes to do the workshop. Fonthill Road Festive Market – Saturday 1st December 2018

Fonthill Road Fashion Village will play host to a spectacular festive pop-up market on Saturday 1 December along Fonthill Road, London, N4 3JH. FREE entry for all ages!

The Collective – a makers market, Fonthill Road Fashion Village and Islington Council have worked together to organise a community focused street market that will be packed with fine artisan food, street food and beverages, plus original designs and products from local & London based designer makers.

Expect to be inspired by hand made accessories, textiles, beauty products, ceramics, artwork, botanicals and more alongside affordable clothing brands and accessories from “fashions best kept secret” Fonthill Road Fashion Village.

Fonthill Road will become vehicle-free on the day to make space for over 40 independent London traders and free creative workshops for the whole family!

Free creative workshops will run between 12-4pm including:

Origami tree decoration – Learn the delicate art of paper folding

Screen printed tote bag – Print a pattern onto your own cotton bag

Festive botanical decoration – Make your own personalised festive glass bauble

Fonthill road market

There will be so much on offer at the Fonthill Road festive market on 1 December

On the day, there will be music from local DJ’s, live musicians and singers accompanied by dancers and performers between 11-6pm

Famous Eno – Finsbury Park resident and DJ / Composer will be playing an eclectic DJ set 


3.00pm 

Key Changes  – A live showcase of hip hop, pop, rock, soul, reggae, grime and r’n’b from Key Changes mental health music charity 


4.00pm 

The Finsbury Park Singers – Acoustic choir led by conductor Hannah Brine, singing winter favourites in 4 (and more) part harmonies to get you in the festive spirit

Finsbury Park Festive Lights Switch On

Kekeli African Dance Ensemble – West African dance and drumming group led by dancer, musician and accomplished storyteller George Fiawoo 

Free light refreshments will be provided in the communal tent all day.

With around 100 independent shops, Fonthill Road Fashion Village is already a shopping haven for anyone wanting to find the perfect outfit for a prom, party, wedding or one off festive occasion.

Select Fonthill Road businesses will be offering in-store discounts on the day.
